“Notice God, Notice Others.”

Who Benefits from Jumpstart Coaching?

The Church in the west is currently in a stagnant mode on fronts as momentum goes. Statistically, at a minimum 95% of churches in this part of the world are either shrinking, or at best are plateaued.

The small percentage of churches that report momentum / growth appear at first to be encouraging stories. Upon closer inspection however, in most cases this ‘growth’ is comprised of nearly 100% already-believers along with biological growth of children moving from the nursery into the ranks of the adult church.

A pattern of already transfers from “church-to-church” believers clearly is not what Jesus had in mind when he declared the five Great Commission texts in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and Acts.

In recent years, in the face of dismal / non-existent momentum, the focus in church leadership circles has been upon topics such as “discipleship” and accurate “teaching.” As Billy Graham shared with me in a conversation a few years ago, “If something doesn’t change, there will be no people to teach any of this to. Let’s get to work and begin to get back to the basics of bringing people in to the Church.”

The Idea Here:

As those who lead, we become stronger, shaper, more capable as we spend time with those who have gone before us.

We tend to grow as we spend time on a regular basis with those who challenge us to continue to move forward.

We will gather once a month for several hours for coaching that will be done live with Steve Sjogren leading. With the use of the Skype network (a 100% free service), we will be able to converge live from various places around the globe in real time.

The Goal of Jumpstart Coaching:

Experience shows that as we look at each of these topics each time, during the between times, questions, ponderings, etc. come to mind that speed up the ‘question’ process.

Learning that lasts is based upon two simple elements:
1. Discovering the right questions to ask.
2. Walking out / applying discoveries made.
