From Charlie Wear:
Friends of Steve and Janie Sjogren are asking, “What is happening in the world of Steve Sjogren, the Kindness Guy, and his wife, Janie, the Kindness Gal?” Well, I have all the answers to these questions that are fit to publish.
Steve is excited about the publication of his latest book: Heaven’s Lessons – 10 Things I Learned About God When I Died, Thomas Nelson, February 19, 2013. I just finished reading my Kindle version, and even though I am Sjogren fanboy, I think it is his best book so far! (Boy, that’s a lot of exclamation points for the first two paragraphs!) I highly recommend this honest and raw account by a follower of Jesus who has been on a mission to make a difference in his world since he started taking one step at a time following the Master.
Steve and Janie recently ended their assignment at the Free Methodist church in Newberg, Oregon and have determined to spend all of their energies in the next several years on spreading the love of God by inspiring ordinary people to become ambassadors of God’s kindness. With that in mind they have launched Kindness Outreach Ministries and re-launched Kindness.com.
Their mission is to:
- Help ordinary people to live out a life of kindness, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Coach leaders and churches in kindness outreach, church starting and ministry to the poor.
- Pass on the passion that God has placed in us through all kinds of communication.
Steve himself is recovering from physical problems that he suffered last summer with some ongoing residual effects. As always, he covets your prayers and blessings for continued improvement in his physical health.
In March, Steve and Janie will be in Southern California scouting the land for new opportunities as they contemplate moving their base of operations.
Feel free to leave a word of encouragement for Steve & Janie in the comments here, or you can send an email to them using this contact form.
