Walk Spontaneously in the Spirit

Sometimes the best stuff happens as we don’t necessarily plan it all out – as we flow in the power of the Spirit. Paul tells us to “walk in the Spirit” – that as we do so we will “not give in to the desires of the flesh.” There is a connection between spontaneous living in the Spirit and the freedom to overcome the power of the flesh that wages war against God’s purposes for us.

To walk is to take a position of no longer relying on mechanical thinking in order to move forward. To be spontaneous is a matter of being natural – of not being stilted or left brained.

There is a place for planning, but if all we know is to plan things out we are missing an entire dimension of what God has for us.

Today walk spontaneously and see what God has for you.
