Salvation Army Connections

Spoke to a group of Salvation Army people in the Chicago area for several days just after arriving in Tampa.  This was challenging after the rugged route down, the signing routine.  I was pretty wiped out by the time this event came around.
It was a good time all around though.  Met some fantastic people.

Was amazed at how many in this group are many generations into the organization – like five and six generations.  I didn’t do the math, but this might go back to close to the beginning of the organization.  More to say about this later.

Steve has spoken, mentored and modeled to churches and leaders around the world with the simple message that anyone – regardless of their gifting or experience – can be involved in bringing God’s loving kindness to others. His first book, Conspiracy of Kindness has been translated into several languages with more in the works. His first book has sold over 300,000 copies. Altogether his books have sold over 500,000 copies.

  1. Yeah…..after reading Robert Watson’s book….

“The Most Effective Organization in the U.S.: Leadership Secrets of the Salvation Army” I’ve got a real deep respect for them as an organization….they rock!
