Simplifying God's Voice

Do you feel inadequate in the area of connecting with God's voice? When you hear others mention they have gotten specific guidance from God does that hack you off a little? Maybe it seems a little arrogant to suggest that we can even hear from God. Don't panic. Not to make light of your frustration but I believe God wants to speak to you…today.One: remove the complication. Drop your requirements for hearing. Those lists are frustrating and usually not biblical. Your current situation is perfect for hearing from God no matter what is going on with you.Two: thank God that he wants to speak to you. Scratch that. Thank him that he is going to speak to you.Three: walk forward. Walk on. Don't try to do anything mystical. Don't slow down or tarry or introspect as you may have heard to do. God will speak to you in clear ways by giving you new, inspired thoughts. He does this in such a natural way you might not notice he is speaking. Remember the comments to Elijah, that he connects in a “Still, small voice.” It's good to slow down to hear God's voice, but the key to guidance isn't found in your ability to slow down.
