I’m inviting you to invest in the Kindness Movement. Over the past 25 years, we have seen the fruit of “practical expressions of God’s Kindness” move people who are far from God toward a relationship with Jesus Christ.
We’ve seen both church plants and existing churches create palpable momentum toward reaching their cities and involving followers of Jesus in pursuit of this mission. We have four initiatives that need funding.
A “Kindness Explosion” is a unified effort among churches in a particular city to bring God’s Kindness in practical ways to many people. Our team is dedicated to helping without asking for any compensation. If the impact of the “Kindness Explosion’ is fruitful, we are asking churches to pay it forward to the next city that we coach. We believe this approach is consistent with the spirit of our movement which is to bring God’s Kindness with “no strings attached”.
We are spending time, energy and money coaching “Kindness Explosions” in the following cities. The target dates for these “explosions” are in 2019, generally 12-18 months from the start of the engagement.
- San Jose, CA
- Santa Cruz, CA
- Raleigh-Durham, NC
- Indianapolis, IN
We’ve discovered that city-wide movements across the country are aimed at mobilizing churches with a Prayer-Care-Share model. In particular, a group of leaders in Chicago has adopted a multi-church initiative to encourage Christians to actively reach out about Jesus. Kindness Outreach has been asked to be a partner who provides resources, training, and coaching to a 1000 church coalition across Chicagoland. Our team will provide help as needed to support this mission between September 2018 to March 2019.
Small Group Outward APP
One of our initiatives is to come alongside church movements that value outreach and already have a bit of success with Servant Evangelism by providing additional catalytic resources. One of the challenges may church leaders face is helping small groups to practice outward/missional behavior. We are creating a 6-7 week small group experience that is essentially facilitated by a smartphone. We’ll use content from the book “Conspiracy of Kindness” plus some new modules on empowerment, prayer, and teamwork. The series will culminate in an outreach experience that the group chooses, resources and accomplishes together.
