You say you’ve never seen a 16′ tall inflated toilet?  Me neither…

Why?

Let’s face it — the world is in desperate need of the healing power of kindness. Given today’s rampant cultural polarization, that need has become critical and we believe God’s Kindness is life support for a dying world.  In fact, we believe it’s a superpower of sorts.

We believe the coming election year actually provides a unique open door to serve and speak into this massive divide and bring kindness as a healing balm before hostility and chaos become the norm in our community. Will you join us in perhaps our boldest adventure to date?

What?

We have been on a forty-year journey around the globe learning how to utilize tactical kindness. Over the years, we have discovered some novel ways to serve others and demonstrate God’s love in practical ways. These simple kind gestures lead to powerful encounters. With this in mind, we want to clean America’s filthiest toilets.

How?

We are throwing our hat over the wall by towing a 16-foot inflatable toilet all over the country and serving anyone that will let us. It might look silly, but that is the point. This is our metaphor for how we believe Jesus would act in today’s world. In the Bible, he washed the feet of strangers to make a point about the power of kindness and service. To clean a toilet is the modern equivalent of the biblical notion of washing a person’s feet. Remember they wore sandals those days, and the walkways also served as sewers. Connect the. .err… .dots.

Kindness originates with God. By its nature, it is both practical and deeply spiritual. When we serve others in generous ways, we become pipelines of the outflow of God’s life. Not only are those who are served changed, but the givers of kindness are also changed by the life of God.

A powerful verse in scripture reads, “The kindness of God leads to…a radical life change!” (Rom. 2:4, NASB, MSG). In other words, the kindness of God is practical and it invites His presence in tangible ways.

When and Where?

We are rallying people in the first quarter of 2020, in three cities, to demonstrate God’s Kindness to others in a variety of fun and easy outreaches that are practical ways to serve others with no strings attached. Each rally will consist of dozens if not hundreds of local people going out to serve the city with multiple “simply kind” projects, including the “heroic level of serving” by cleaning public restrooms. Jesus washed some pretty filthy feet in his day. Toilets tend to be the dynamic equivalent of his serving. These initial rallies are trial runs for doing more across the country. Who?

Steve Sjogren is the author of multiple best-selling books including Conspiracy of Kindness and more. Each of these books focuses on the power of God’s Kindness to change the world. His books have made a mark in the church world and beyond with over 500,000 copies in print. He and a larger team have been leading kindness explosions in cities around the world for decades. The results have been spectacular! It turns out that most people are famished for a touch of kindness. A wide variety of congregations have grown numerically and in spiritual depth as they’ve begun to define themselves by what they do, allowing actions to speak their intent.

Our ventures into radical levels of kindness have thus far included:  1. Leading outreaches in connections with a Billy Graham Mission that included over 300 congregations in unison that served over 300,000 people bottles of water and soft drinks in the course of a couple of hours on a Saturday morning. 2. Serving over one million locally in the Cincinnati area in the course of a single year. 3. Gifting a church facility to another congregation…. with no strings attached.

We don’t just hope that citywide outreaches will connect, based on many years of doing this, we know that it does.

Joining this Kindness Revolution of ours will change your world…brother, can you spare a dime?
